What to Wear
What to Wear to Rhythmic Gymnastics Class, From Day One
Prepare fitted clothing she can move freely in, a hair tie, socks, and no jewelry. What to wear to gymnastics comes down to two rules: the coach can see alignment, and nothing loose gets near the apparatus.
Clothing requirements
- Bottoms: Tight leggings or stretchy shorts
- Top: A snug t-shirt or tank top
- Hair: Pulled back in a ponytail with a hair tie
- Feet: Socks, every class
- No jewelry — please leave it at home
Socks on the training carpets
Everyone wears socks on the training carpets, every class. Please pack a pair.
• You must wear socks to step on the training carpets.
• Shoes stay off the carpets.
• As soon as you step off the carpets, put your shoes back on.
• Put shoes back on when stepping off, so the carpets stay clean.
This policy maintains cleanliness and hygiene on the training surface, keeping it free from dirt and debris for a safe, sanitary training environment.
