Wushu / kung fu
Wushu is a unique mix of Gymnastics and Kung Fu, which has recently been included in the 4th Youth Olympic Games 2022, Dakar, Senegal. The movements are based on acrobatics and combat techniques such as kicks, fist blows, grappling, joint locking, and controlled falling, as well as the use of weapons such as swords, cudgels, spears, and more!
Our program will develop not only your child’s physical capabilities, but cultivate higher self-esteem, bolder character, and a stronger will, too. As we know from experience, knowledge and the ability to defend yourself increases self-confidence.
Classes are conducted in a safe environment under a certified Sifu’s supervision with safe, professional-quality weapons.
martial art / wushu - story of success
Aslan started Wushu at the age of 5. It all began when he and his parents stepped into Rhythmic Art to observe a practice. Having previously been unaware of Wushu, they were impressed with what they saw, and once Aslan started, he fell in love with it. Now, he loves to travel to different places and compete.
To date, Aslan has won two Grand Champion Titles at the International Chinese Martial Arts Championship in Orlando, Florida 2019, qualified to the USA National Kung Fu team in 2019, and won two silver medals at the 3rd Pan-American Kung Fu Championships.
He continues to practice and improve his results, driven by a motivation to be like his favorite Wushu icons, Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan.
Sofia started Wushu at the age of 8. She initially joined Wushu to learn to do an aerial, which was her dream jump. In the process, she learned a lot of different techniques, loved it, and decided to stick with Wushu.
In 2019, she qualified to the USA National Kung Fu team in 2019, won two silver medals at the 3rd Pan-American Kung Fu Championships, and received the Wushu Grand Champion title at the 2019 International Martial Arts Championships in Orlando, Florida.
She thinks her most important takeaway from Wushu is self-confidence!
