What to Wear
What to Wear to Rhythmic Gymnastics
Prepare fitted movement clothing, tied hair, socks, and no jewelry. These rules help the coach see alignment and keep loose items away from apparatus.
Clothing requirements
- Bottoms: Tight leggings or stretchy shorts
- Top: A snug t-shirt or tank top
- Hair: Pulled back in a ponytail
- Feet: Socks (mandatory — no exceptions)
- No jewelry — all jewelry must be removed to prevent injuries
Socks are mandatory
In order to attend the class and be in the gym, you must have socks on. It is mandatory, and there are NO EXCEPTIONS.
• You must wear socks to step on the training carpets.
• Shoes are prohibited on the carpets.
• As soon as you step off the carpets, put your shoes back on.
• Do not walk off the carpets in socks and then return — this defeats the purpose.
This policy maintains cleanliness and hygiene on the training surface, keeping it free from dirt and debris for a safe, sanitary training environment.
